Nashville Joins “Refreshing Cities”
Sitening launched RefreshNashville.org, joining the ranks of “refreshing cities” across the world.
“Refresh” is a community of designers and developers working to refresh the creative, technical, and professional culture of New Media endeavors in their areas. According to RefreshingCities.org, there are 28 other chapters across the U.S. and Europe.
The Nashville chapter is open to professionals, hobbyists and students in the area. The group will meet every other month to discuss issues and share knowledge, focusing on Web standards, design, technology, usability and accessibility.
The first Refresh Nashville event is scheduled for Thurs., Oct. 5, at Sitening [map]. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m.; pizza, beer and soft drinks will be provided. Well, it's about time !! I wondered how long it would take to get Nashville on this bandwagon, so THANKS for getting the ball rolling. :) I'll be at the meeting for sure.

Great, we'll see you then! FYI, my original post said Thursday, Oct. 6. Thanks Lee, for pointing out my date snafu. The meeting is on a Thursday, but the date is actually Oct. 5. Hope to see you there!

This is great! Kudos to Sitening for taking the initiative to start Refresh Nashville! I look forward to being there in October.
