How to Grab a Screenshot of an Entire Web Page
Saturday, March 15th, 2008
Web designers and marketers often need full-size screenshots for before-and-after shots and also for portfolio pieces. Fortunately, there’s many ways to create website screenshots. However, among all of the options, my favorite way to make full-length screenshots is by using Screengrab! — a Firefox Add-on.
Using Screengrab! is about as easy as it gets. Simply bring [...]

Thursday, December 27th, 2007
One of the best things to come from social networking and the so called Web 2.0 is the Web widget. Web widgets allow users to easily drop JavaScript code into their own website and instantly add content and features. Most Web widgets contain CSS ids and classes that allow the webmaster to alter the look-and-feel [...]

Customize Your Basecamp Start Page
Monday, December 18th, 2006
37signals , the makers of Basecamp , pride themselves on building software that does less than their competitors. They take great care to deliver only the features they believe their customers need.
That’s nice.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, I’m tired of waiting for them to fix the “little things” in Basecamp. Time [...]

Wednesday, November 22nd, 2006
At the top of Gmail, Google Calendar, and Docs & Spreadsheets, you’ve probably noticed links to other Google services. It’s part of Google’s push to tie its many products together. I find the links very useful. I love being able to switch between Gmail and my calendar with one click. Here’s what I’m talking about.
The [...]

Add a Second Inbox to Your Gmail
Monday, November 20th, 2006
Last week I finally gave up and ditched Apple Mail in favor of using Gmail all the time for both work and personal email. I had been managing my work email via IMAP, but with such a large inbox I was beginning to notice performance issues. It was time to switch. I set my Sitening [...]

New StumbleUpon Toolbar Enhances Google and Yahoo! Search
Thursday, September 28th, 2006
One of my favorite social media services is StumbleUpon. I like it because it’s one of the best ways to discover new websites, and it’s also perfect for marketing Web pages and websites. For some reason, StumbleUpon has the uncanny ability to drive a significant amount of traffic.
The StumbleUpon toolbar makes it very easy to [...]
