Tan Joins Sitening as Web Developer
Jason Tan has joined Sitening as Web developer.
Prior to Sitening, Tan was a research assistant and Ph.d. candidate at Vanderbilt University. He worked with the The Teachable Agents Group, (affiliated with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and the Institute for Software Integrated Systems). Tan contributed by researching and developing AI-based educational technology and software for desktop and Web-based applications. The software was designed for middle school students; Tan deployed the software and conducted usability tests.
“We’re excited to have Jason join Sitening,” says Scott Holdren, Sitening’s system architect. “His skills and experience are a great fit for the company now, and our vision for the company in 2008.”
Outside of Vanderbilt, Tan offered Web design and development consulting through his company, jaytee productions. Tan offered clients customized and Web-based solutions including design, content management, database and application programming, and hosting.
Tan has a MS in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University. He is skilled PHP, ASP, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Javascript, Apache HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, IIS, MySQL and MSSQL.
Tan lives in the Nashville area.
