Fedora Core 5 Review with Screenshots
Thursday, May 25th, 2006
Several years ago, when I was first looking to switch from Windows to a new operating, I was really interested in switching to Linux or Unix. Unfortunately, in my experience, you had to be a command line hack if you wanted to install, enhance or fix anything. I had no desire to run an operating [...]

Excel Line Endings Break PHP
Wednesday, May 24th, 2006
Here’s a quick tip that might save the PHP developers out there some time. (It would have saved me thirty minutes of debugging if I had know this earlier.)

She had everything on her hard drive — family photos, all of her graphic design work, fonts, important emails, etc… — but no backup! I’ve experienced two catastrophic data failures before, and that taught me to backup my MacBook [...]

“Web Design” Out, “SEO Web Design” In
Saturday, May 13th, 2006
I was having some fun with the newly released Google Trends. Out of curiousity, I wanted to see how popular the keywords “web design” have done over the years. To my amazement, there’s been a downward trend for the past few years.
“Web Design”
I then did a search for “SEO” and noticed an upward trend (which [...]
