Experience

For me, it all started with Lynx. Or maybe even Gopher. I have been playing around with web pages since the dark ages before Netscape. Quite a bit more recently, I stumbled upon being able to put food on my table with HTML and its supporting players CSS, JavaScript — and on the other side of the fence — PHP, ASP, Ruby, and Python.

Even more recently, my attention is drawn to all things framework. Application frameworks, JavaScript frameworks, and even CSS frameworks. Anything that starts a person off with sensible defaults and makes it easier to hit the ground running is cool by me. I've even considered writing a framework from scratch.

Philosophy

I think the web is one of the most important technologies of our lifetimes. Not only does it make information much easier to find, it also acts as a huge database that can be systematically tapped to do more interesting things.

If there's a task I can do on the web (email, calendar, task management), that's what I want. I hate being tied down by location or a particular computer.

I love being a part of the force that's building the exciting applications and sites on the web today. It's a great time to be in this business, and to be with Sitening.
